Carol Erb

Carol Erb was born and raised in the Midwest. She attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and received a BA from DePaul University. Carol worked as a financial analyst at an investment management firm in Chicago for 15 years. In 1999, a move with her husband to California prompted Carol to leave the corporate world and revisit art through drawing and painting. She discovered Photoshop in 2012, and began to experiment with digital manipulation. The artist returned to her early interest in photography, but in a new untraditional way that incorporates her past experience, acquired skills, and desire to communicate visually with a unique individual style. Carol is best known for creating constructed and staged digital images.

Erb’s images have been exhibited at The Center for Fine Art Photography, The Phoenix Art Museum, Houston Center for Photography and many other US and international venues. In 2017, the artist was a Top 50 Critical Mass selection. Her work has been featured in many periodicals including Black & White Magazine, Fraction Magazine, and Adore Noir. Carol currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
